The Special Tactics and Rescue Service were called in to action this week, when a cat became stuck in a tree.
Members of the elite task force's Bravo team arrived on the scene and were quick to put their plan in to action.
Captain Enrico Marini praised his squad for the way they conducted themselves, saying he was confident it would prove their doubters wrong.
The decision to form the team has come under fire by outspoken members of the public in recent months, with even District Attorney Thomas Sommers questioning why Raccoon City even needed an anti–terrorism unit in the first place.
Despite the negative press, the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team were in high spirits after the succesful mission and were seen to be hugging and high–fiving after Kenneth Sullivan brought down the ginger cat from the branch.
Richard Aiken, the radio operator for the team, told reporters "whether it's cats, dogs, spiders, crows or giant, poisonous snakes—I'm confident we're ready for it all."
