CANADA, Friday 14—One man's dream became another man's reality when Atari Tuesdays (on Thursdays) was broadcast on the FTP television station.

With a soundtrack from Enya, it was a homage to the days where the Atari reigned supreme over the video game market.

Robert "Doom Noob" Douglas had made the request for the broadcast to happen, after allegedly telling the host of the channel that he had "three days and some weeks to live" and wanted nothing more than to see his "favourite non-hedgehog games played live one last time".

It included a playlist of games that some had feared had been lost during the dark days before the internet.

Viewers were treated to some big name games, including the 1979 Game of the Year Superman, Donkey Kong and the underrated classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

There was even some history made, when Toast achieved the highest score ever recorded in Hacky Sack on California Games. However the decision was reversed in a Dusty finish at the end of the broadcast when President Tunney announced:

"Due to not being witnessed by a reputable official from Twin Galaxies¸ the record can therefore not be considered factual and Mr. Toast's alleged efforts in achieving the claimed record cannot stand."
